Grain Buries Elevator Employee

Doctors at Saginaw's Covenant Medical Center say a 19-year-old man remained in extremely critical condition a day after  being buried in grain Monday.  Ricky Poineau's co-workers pulled him from under the grain in a rail car at the Peavy Grain Elevator Monday afternoon.  Carrollton Police say crews were unloading the grain car when they discovered Poineau was missing. They spotted his clothing in the grain and pulled him from the bottom of the rail car. The workers had started CPR before rescuers arrived on the scene.

The elevator on Carrollton Road is a subsidiary of the Omaha, Nebraska-based Con Agra Company.
